BEYOND FITNESS SNACK OF THE MONTH
- Prepare green tea with mineral or purified water
- Add lemon juice to help disolve the protective coating of the almond, NO sugar, NO milk.
- Rince 50-80 grams of organic almonds
- Place the almonds in a bowl
- Wait until the green tea reaches a temperature of 50 degrees celsius or below to protect the enzymes.
- Fill up the bowl containing the almonds with green tea
- Wait between 24 to 30 hours, rince, remove the brown skin

INDIRA WARD IS JOINING BEYONDFITNESS TEAM

I have been training in the gym for the last 20yrs, for the last 10 yrs did competitive bodybuilding and last few years took part in bodybuilding world championships (NABBA 2006 DUBLIN - NAC 2009 DENHAGUE). I was always open minded for trying new ways of training. Nine months ago I tried Fitness4x4 and Hour of Power and it blew my mind, the training was so good ! Since then it has become part of my weekly training routine. It realy complements my muscle building, condition, strenght and overall fitness. This system is what I was looking for all my life, so much so, that I recently decided to become a Hour of Power and Fitness4x4 certified instructor. To demonstrate that Fitness4x4 can benefit athletes from all backgrounds, Xavier and Gordon approached me and convinced me to join Beyondfitness Ireland team to help them develop and promote this way of training accross the country. As a busy wife, personal trainer and mother of an 8yrs old child, I can highly recommend Fitness4x4 training to anyone from mothers to athletes. It's by far the best exercise program I have ever used in my 20yrs of training to lose weight and get fit without the need for expensive equipment and time consuming sessions. It would have been nice to discover it a little bit earlier in my carreer, but better late than never. As a bodybuilder I am pleased to experience much faster recovery and better conditioning during off season. I am honoured to be part of BeyondFitness team.

BEYOND FITNESS SMOOTHIE OF THE MONTH : "Watermelon Refresher"
This is a very hydrating drink that has a detoxing effect and is very beneficial for the kidneys.
Ingredients: 1 extra large wedge of watermelon (diced but keep the seeds)
- 8-10 Raspberries
- 3-4 Leaves of fresh mint
Instructions: Dice-up the large watermelon wedge into bite-sized pieces. Retain the seeds (they are a good source of several vitamins and minerals and contain about 35% protein) and place both the melon pieces and the seeds into a blender with the raspberries and fresh mint. Blend for 30 seconds approximately and enjoy this refreshing drink. (Because watermelon is approximately 92% water there is no requirement to add water or juice as a base for this smoothie.)
Watermelon is an excellent source of vitamin C. It is also a very good source of vitamin A and vitamin B6. In addition, watermelon is a good source of thiamin, potassium and magnesium. Raspberries are an excellent source of fiber, manganese and vitamin C. They are a good source of vitamin B2, folate, niacin, magnesium, potassium and copper. In addition, they contain significant amounts of the anti-cancer phytochemical ellagic acid. Mint leaves eliminate toxins from the body and when included in the diet on a regular basis, eliminates bacteria and fungus from the body.
Added benefit: It tastes great!
